PhD Candidates

Michael Manos is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Linguistics at the School of Philology of A.U. Th. His dissertation examines the process of teaching Modern Greek language to Classicists, focusing on the interface between MG and AG languages from a specifically pedagogical perspective. He holds a BA in Modern Greek Studies from The Ohio State University, an MA in Classical Studies from Wayne State University, and an MDiv in Theology from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology.

Michael’s research interests include translanguaging pedagogy, historical linguistics, and teaching MG as a foreign language.
